Starting the Year with Determination: Why I’m Moving Forward with Gemini Intimates LLC

Well, that was not the start of the year that I was hoping for. Between health struggles, personal issues within my family, and the challenges posed by the policies of the new administration here in the U.S., it’s been a difficult and frustrating time. These circumstances, combined with the ongoing needs of my aging parents, my own exhaustion, tariffs on materials, and the uncertainty surrounding funding for the small business programs, led me to do some serious soul searching.

There were moments when I really questioned whether I should continue with my dream of starting a business. With so many obstacles in my path, including the ever-rising prices of everything, it felt like the world was conspiring against me. It would’ve been easy to stay on the couch, scrolling through my phone, consumed by negative thoughts. But that’s not what I want my journey to be.

So, I made a decision: I got up, turned off the doom-scrolling, and looked around me. Despite everything, I saw people who were making things happen. I saw small businesses continuing to push forward with determination, and organizations doing what they could to serve others despite the difficulties. I saw that this is the moment when I need to dig deeper and do my part to contribute something positive.

It became clear that I can make a difference, and part of that difference starts with continuing the process of launching Gemini Intimates LLC. The timing may not be perfect. The challenges are real. But this is an opportunity to put something meaningful into the world—a business that stands for something good. A business that focuses on empowering people, helping them feel their best, and providing a personal touch in a world that often feels disconnected.

So, I’m back. And I’m more committed than ever to seeing this through. My first priorities are:

1. Finishing the bra and/or brief sets I promised to those who attended my fitting event in December. Your patience has meant the world to me, and I can’t wait to deliver what I promised!

2. Revamping my fitting system. I’m working on two versions: one for in-person fittings, and another downloadable version that can be printed and used at home. I know many of you are eager to have this resource, and I’m doing my best to make it available soon!

3. Creating Pride-themed items for the upcoming local Pride Festivals. This will be a celebration of inclusivity, and I’m excited to contribute to these important events.

   
   

Moving forward, I’ll be writing weekly blog posts to update you on my progress, share a little more about who I am, and give you a peek behind the curtain of what it’s like to start a business from home. I’m also planning to share a few video clips of my process and life as a solopreneur across my social media platforms, as well as articles on intimate apparel, offering my personal insights.
